Know before you book

  • The chosen date must be the day you pick them up from the airport.
  • Some hotels in the city are not included in our pickup itinerary. If this is the case, we will contact you to indicate the closest hotel to which you should go so that we can pick you up for the excursion. You must wait for your guide in the lobby of the indicated hotel.
  • During peak holiday seasons (July and January), tours may operate on buses with a capacity of up to 50 passengers. In these cases, hotel pick-up services will not be provided; a meeting point will be established in the city centre instead.
  • IMPORTANT: These tours are carried out in many days, their order will be coordinated with the operator at the destination.

  • The walking tour is a free activity that operates under a tip system for the guide. A minimum of 10 participants per tour is required. If this number is not reached, the activity may not take place, with no refund incurred, as this is a free service.

With two full-day excursions, enjoy two of the most impressive places in northern Argentina: Cafayate and Humahuaca. Towards the south of the province of Salta, crossing the towns of the Lerma and Calchaquíes Valleys, you reach Cafayate. There you can admire the impressive rock formations such as La Garganta del Diablo, El Anfiteatro or El Sapo. In addition, delicious Cafayateños wines will be tasted. On the other hand, on the excursion to Humahuaca you will visit Purmamarca, the Cerro de los Siete Colores, Maimará, Tilcara, the Pucará de Tilcara, the Paleta del Pintor, Uquía, the Pollera de la Colla and the town of Humahuaca, among other things. Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome to Salta
Reception and transfer to the hotel. Start your adventure with a warm welcome and free time to explore the charming city.
Day 2: Discover the Wonders of Cafayate
Pick up from the hotel at 6:30 am. We will begin our tour through the picturesque towns of Cerrillos and El Carril, crossing the beautiful Lerma Valley. We will pass through Coronel Moldes and the enigmatic town of Germany before reaching the impressive Quebrada de las Conchas. Here, you can admire natural formations such as the Devil's Throat, the Amphitheatre, the Yesera, the Sapo, the Obelisk and the Castles, each with their vibrant colours shaped by the erosion of wind and water. Finally, we will arrive at Cafayate, where we will visit its wineries for an exquisite wine tasting. Return to Salta.
Day 3: Wonders of the Humahuaca Gorge
Early departure along Route 9/34 towards San Salvador de Jujuy. On our way, we will cross unforgettable landscapes such as Yala, Volcán and Tumbaya until we reach Purmamarca, home of the famous “Hill of 7 Colours”. We will continue to Maimará to admire the “Pintor's Palette” and then visit the historic Pucará de Tilcara. We will continue towards Huacalera, passing through the Tropic of Capricorn, and we will arrive at Uquía, where you can see the impressive Cuzco Paintings. Finally, we will arrive in Humahuaca to contemplate its Independence Monument before returning to Salta.
