Tour Itinerary: Furano & Biei Highlights
Departure from Sapporo
Our journey begins at the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Sapporo, conveniently located near Sapporo Station. With a meeting time of 9:00 AM, this tour offers a more relaxed start compared to other Furano and Biei excursions, allowing you to enjoy your morning.
Lunch Buffet in Asahikawa
Our first stop is a lunch buffet at a popular hotel in Asahikawa. You can indulge in a rich variety of approximately 60 different dishes, all prepared using freshly harvested Hokkaido ingredients and seasonal produce.
Patchwork Road, Biei
Next, we visit the famous Patchwork Road in Biei. Known as the “Town of Hills,” Biei offers quintessential Hokkaido landscapes where fields of seasonal flowers and various crops create a stunning patchwork pattern across the horizon. You will have the chance to enjoy the rolling hill scenery and see several of the area's iconic, symbolic trees.
Shirogane Blue Pond
Afterwards, we head to Biei’s Blue Pond, a mysterious body of water known for its breathtaking shades of blue. Originally formed when water collected behind a dam built for erosion control on Mt. Tokachi, the pond's deep blue hue combined with the withered Japanese larch trees creates a truly mystical and ethereal atmosphere.
Farm Tomita (Tour Highlight)
We then arrive at the highlight of our tour: Farm Tomita in Nakafurano. As Furano’s most iconic flower farm, it features 80 varieties of flowers—most notably its world-famous lavender—blanketing the gentle hills in vibrant colours. Be sure to enjoy the “aroma shower” from the vast lavender fields and try their popular lavender soft-serve ice cream!
Campana Rokkatei
Our final stop is Campana Rokkatei, a popular sweets shop located in Furano. At this scenic location of the famous “Rokkatei” brand, you can enjoy shopping for high-quality confections, including exclusive sweets that can only be found at the Furano branch.
