What you can expect

At the time indicated, we'll meet in front of the Casa do Benin museum to begin this gastronomic tour of Salvador. Are you ready?

After a brief introduction to the gastronomy of Salvador, which is known as the Black Rome, we'll start a tour of the Santo Antônio area. We'll see its colourful streets and then head to the Casa da Vovó restaurant, where we'll try acarajé. This recipe, made with bean paste, has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Salvador.

The next stop will be the Zanzibar restaurant. In this establishment, which is always frequented by Bahian artists who sing the songs of Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, we will have a typical drink. It's a ginger milkshake, which we'll try while enjoying the traditional music of northeastern Brazil.

Finally, after a three-hour journey, we'll end this gastronomic route through Salvador at Bar Ulisses. There, we'll eat a traditional dish, which according to the season will be moqueca, feijoada or stew. Enjoy!
