Leave the lights and crowds of city centre Gettysburg behind and head into the countryside for a serious, hands-on paranormal investigation at two historic bridges associated with reports of unexplained activity.
Your experience begins at historic Sachs Covered Bridge, one of the Gettysburg area’s most recognisable Civil War landmarks. Built in 1852, the wooden covered bridge crosses Marsh Creek and was used by both Union and Confederate troops during the Gettysburg Campaign. After dark, the quiet setting, surrounding woods, and flowing creek create an atmospheric location for your first investigation.
Meet your guide and small group, then learn about the history of the bridge and some of the paranormal experiences that have been reported here over the years. Your guide will introduce the ghost-hunting equipment provided for the evening and explain how to use it during an investigation.
Then the lights go down and the investigation begins.
Explore the bridge and surrounding area while using paranormal investigation equipment to look and listen for unusual activity. Try different techniques, ask questions, watch the equipment for possible responses, and pay attention to sounds or movements around you. This is an interactive experience—you are not simply following a guide and listening to ghost stories. You become part of the investigation.
After completing your investigation at Sachs Covered Bridge, travel in your own vehicle to the John Eisenhower Bridge for the second part of the experience.
The setting changes dramatically at the second bridge. Away from city centre Gettysburg, this quieter and more secluded location provides another opportunity to investigate reported paranormal activity. Your group will set up again, use the equipment, and conduct a second hands-on investigation in the darkness.
Because these are genuine investigations, every night is different. Some evenings may be very quiet. On others, guests may experience unexplained sounds, unusual equipment responses, or moments that are difficult to explain.
There are no actors, staged scares, special effects, or guaranteed ghosts. Your guide does not manufacture an experience. You investigate each location as you find it and discover for yourself what—if anything—may respond.
By the end of the night, you will have investigated two distinctly different Gettysburg locations, learned how paranormal investigation equipment is used, and experienced the atmosphere of these historic bridges after dark.
Bring your curiosity, comfortable shoes, and an open mind. Ghost-hunting equipment is provided.
