What you can expect

  • Before the tour: Explore the city before you arrive thanks to our 8-page guide: full of own-made venue suggestions and 5-star-rated beers

Stop 1 - You'll be taken to a lively brewery: Time for a good Blonde Belgian style beer to start with. Your guide will explain the brewing process, providing a sense of where certain flavours and aromas come from.

While walking between stops, we explore the city itself. Discover remarkable places you likely wouldn’t find on your own, hear local stories along the way, and pause to snap group photos.

    Stop 2 – Iconic Liquor
We visit a centuries-old bar run by a legendary local figure. Here you’ll taste traditional Ghent jenever, the spirit that predates gin and played a major role in local café culture. Learn why it was once safer than water and how it fits into everyday life — a short but unforgettable cultural stop.

    Stop 3 - The 300+ Beer Bar
Time for a beer lover’s paradise: a legendary bar with over 300 Belgian beers. You’ll be surprised with two special local beer styles that most visitors (and even locals!) never try without guidance. Get intrigued by stories shared by your passionate local guide from the copper coolship to a local legend of the Ghentian dragon.

    Stop 4 – Grandma’s Living Room & Trappist Secrets
We step into a cosy hidden bar that feels like your grandmother’s living room. Here, you’ll compare a young and a vintage Trappist beer side by side. Discover how beer ages, why Trappist beers are so special, and uncover the surprising secrets behind monastery brewing. This tasting often changes how guests think about beer forever.

Stop 5 – The Hidden Gem Finale
We finish in a warm, tucked-away local bar — a true hidden gem. Enjoy a full-bodied Belgian Tripel, rich and comforting, paired with a local sweet delicacy. The perfect ending to the tour, with the most fun beer quiz ever, beer recommendations, and local advice for Ghent, Brussels, and Bruges.
