Join the horses in the morning for a swim in the sea and a walk on the beach, then return in the afternoon to groom them at the stables. Your ticket directly funds the welfare work of Horses of Gili, a non-profit caring for working horses on the Gili Islands. Morning Session — 7:30am (1 hour): Meet the horses at the stables, walk to the beach, swim with them in the sea. Each pony has been rescued and cared for by the Horses of Gili team — your guide shares their individual stories along the way. Afternoon Tour — 4:00pm (1.5 hours): Visit the stables and join the daily routine — hands-on care, handling horses, and seeing the grooming, treatments, and walk-in veterinary care that keeps the ponies healthy. Since there are no motorised vehicles on the island, horses are the backbone of daily transport on Gili Trawangan, and Horses of Gili supports local owners and provides care to recovering or retired horses.
