It was in 1905 that the first litres of wine were produced by Mr. Grégoire Fritz.
In the 1950s, the Fritz estate was under the direction of Mr. René Fritz, who continued the tradition and developed the vineyard. In 1993, his daughter Catherine Fritz and her husband Bernard Schmitt took over and created the Fritz-Schmitt estate. Their children are joining the family business one by one. It is the mix of all these personalities that allows us today to produce authentic wines with character.
