The Royal Chapel of Granada is an extraordinary Gothic-Elizabethian burial complex built between 1505 and 1517 by order of the Catholic Monarchs as their definitive burial place. Annexed to the Cathedral, it houses the marble tombs of Isabella the Catholic and Ferdinand the Catholic, as well as those of Joan the Mad and Philip the Beautiful, becoming the most important royal pantheon in Spain.
