What you can expect

  • Begin your walking adventure in Seminario Park, affectionately known as “Iguana Park,” where friendly reptiles share space with locals and visitors beneath ancient trees. Continue towards Plaza de la Administración, surrounded by elegant neoclassical buildings that reflect the city’s golden age.

As you stroll along the Malecón 2000, feel the pulse of Guayaquil’s riverside life—an open-air gallery filled with monuments, gardens, and local activity. At La Rotonda, uncover the storey of two liberators—Simón Bolívar and José de San Martín—whose historic meeting shaped the destiny of South America.

From there, step back in time as you enter Las Peñas, Guayaquil’s oldest area. Wander its cobblestone streets lined with colourful wooden houses, art studios, and small cafés that preserve the charm of centuries past.

Climb the Santa Ana Hill steps, each one revealing murals, street art, and glimpses of everyday life, until you reach the top at El Fortín Viewpoint, where breathtaking panoramic views of the Guayas River and the city skyline await.
