What you can expect

Itinerary
After being picked up in the city centre and before arriving at “Cerro Rico”, make a short stop at the Mining Market, the most attractive in the area. You will have free time to buy dynamite, alcohol and coca leaves as gifts for the miners you will visit inside the mine.

The mines visited are located at the base of the historic Cerro Rico de Potosi. Inside, you will appreciate the miners' work system, which has not undergone major changes after so much time of exploitation.

Walking through the different galleries and interior levels of the mines, visitors can see some places where the miners built statues representing their gods such as El Tio de la Mina (the devil). Visitors can also see the mineral veins that are a set of rocks and chemical formations of minerals, chimneys, as well as have an experiential time with the miners and observe the different work methods they perform every day.
