Know before you book

What you can expect

If you're of the mind that a holiday day doesn't count unless you've packed in as many outdoor activities as possible, this lake-and-trail outing is for you. Follow a guide across the calm waters of Alta Lake on a canoe or kayak, and then trade your paddle for 2 wheels to pedal along mountain biking trails.

Get picked up from your hotel or meet at a shop in the village for the short ride to beautiful Wayside Park at Alta Lake. Get situated with a kayak or canoe, slip on your life jacket, and then push off from the beach into the lake's shimmering waters. Soak up the view as you drift along behind your guide before dipping your paddle in to turn back to shore.

Back on dry land, hop on a sturdy bike, grab a helmet, and then take off behind your guide to tackle the easy-going mountain biking trails around the lake. Ride up and over hillsides on evergreen-shaded trails and work up a sweat before looping back to your starting point and heading back to town.
