What you can expect

  • Travel back in time and discover the magic of Marvão, one of Portugal's best-preserved medieval villages, located at the top of the Serra de São Mamede and surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.

On this guided visit, you'll walk through its narrow cobbled streets accompanied by an expert guide who will reveal the history, interesting facts, and legends of this border town, which has been key to the defence of the territory throughout the centuries. From the walled entrance to the castle, every corner has a storey to tell.

You'll explore emblematic places such as the Church of Santiago, Largo do Pelourinho — the former centre of social and administrative life — and various vantage points with spectacular views of the Alentejo. The experience culminates at Marvão Castle (entrance not included), where you can walk along its ramparts and enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view that stretches to the horizon.

This activity is ideal for those looking for an authentic experience that combines history, culture, and nature in a unique setting.
