Overview
We will visit 5 subways and unravel the history of the different civilisations that have left their mark on this fascinating city through the underground. In addition, some of them can only be visited with an official guide.
We will begin our trip by entering the dungeons of the Holy Brotherhood, the only ones that are still preserved in the city.
We will descend to the Baños del Ashen and we will transport you to the 10th century, where you can experience hygiene practices, religious rituals and social relations in the same place: the hamman.
In the Pozo del Salvador, you will discover the difference between a well and a cistern, two vital elements to obtain drinking water at the top of the Toledo rock.
We will visit a miqveh, a traditional Jewish bath, in the Casa del Judío, dating from the 14th century.
Finally, the Roman baths of ancient Toletum will be the finishing touch to our tour of underground Toledo.
