What you can expect

Day 1: Ha Giang City – Duong Thuong – Du Gia (85 km) Leave the city behind as we head towards the peaceful valley of Du Gia. The road through Duong Thuong offers some of the most untouched scenery on the loop. Upon arrival in Du Gia, you can refresh yourself at the famous local waterfall and enjoy a traditional “Family Dinner” with our host family, experiencing the true warmth of Tay ethnic hospitality.

Day 2: Du Gia – Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Dong Van (95 km) Prepare for the most breathtaking day of the trip. We will conquer Ma Pi Leng, the king of mountain passes in Vietnam. From the summit, you will see the winding Nho Que River far below. We’ll take a boat trip through Tu San Canyon—the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia—to feel the immense scale of the cliffs. The day ends in the historic Dong Van Ancient Town.

Day 3: Dong Van – Yen Minh – Quan Ba – Nam Dam Village (100 km) After exploring the Dong Van market, we journey through the heart of the UNESCO Global Geopark. We’ll wind through the rugged rock plateaus down to the lush valley of Nam Dam. This village is home to the Dao people, where you will learn about their unique clay-house architecture and rich cultural traditions while staying in a serene, eco-friendly environment.

Day 4: Nam Dam Village – Lung Khuy Cave – Bac Sum Pass – Ha Giang (90 km) On our final day, we hike up to discover the mystical stalactites of Lung Khuy Cave, the most beautiful cave in the region. After enjoying the panoramic views of the Twin Mountains in Quan Ba, we tackle the zigzagging curves of Bac Sum Pass before heading back to Ha Giang City.
