Join a personal guide for a comprehensive half-day tour of the main landmarks in the Salvadorian capital. This outing shows you the city's historic centre, its spectacular colonial-era churches, and the bustling markets offering a window into everyday life.

After your convenient hotel pickup, your guide leads you through some of the primary residential zones on your way to the centre of the old city. Start at the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Savior, built in the 1950s as a towering centre of worship, and then visit the National Palace and National Theatre, 2 of San Salvador's great Neoclassical landmarks.

Next, get a look at the extravagant El Rosario Church, whose arched interior creates a stunning scene filled with light from the countless small windows on its roof. Pass by Plaza Libertad on your way to visit the city's handicraft market and the busy Cuscatlán municipal market, where you can browse the brilliant array of wares before you return to your hotel.
