Meet your guide at Wu Hill Square in front of the “Wu Hill Celestial Breeze” stone carving. Listen as your guide introduces the day's theme: “Exploring Hangzhou's Wellness Gene.” Learn about Wu Hill's ancient connection to the city and Chinese medicine culture, including century-old pharmacies like Hu Qing Yu Tang and Fang Hui Chun Tang.

Next, stroll along Hefang Street, entering the high street from the foot of Wu Hill. Pass by Hu Qing Yu Tang, which serves as a “comparison point.” Hear about its history of being equally renowned as Fang Hui Chun Tang—summarised as “Hu in the South, Fang in the North”—and compare their architectural features.

Continue your walk and learn about the therapeutic meaning or ingredients of traditional snacks along the way, such as Dingsheng Gao (victory cake), Fuling Bing (poria cocos cake). Briefly pass by time-honored brands like Zhang Xiao Quan (sharp tools for wellness) and Wang Xing Ji (fans for gentle breezes), highlighting their connection to Chinese lifestyle aesthetics and health.

Next, arrive at Fang Hui Chun Tang and savour a cup of the day's brewed herbal “medicine guide” tea. Learn about its characteristics of “authentic herbs” and “traditional paste formulation,” establishing a distinct understanding compared to Hu Qing Yu Tang.

Then, enjoy a traditional diagnosis and constitution identification. Receive a “Five Movements & Six Qi Constitution Analysis” report. Hand-make a sleep-aiding and mind-calming herbal sachet to take home as a unique souvenir.

If you choose the upgraded option, experience a choice of traditional external therapy. Experience either cupping or gua sha performed by a professional technician, accompanied by an explanation of the principles and precautions.

Finally, transition to Southern Song Imperial Street and listen as your guide narrates the stories of Hangzhou during the Southern Song Dynasty. End your tour near the Drum Tower, where you can enjoy convenient transport, numerous dining options, and a nearby subway station.
