Day 1: Hanoi – Buffalo Cave – Local Culture - Dundj Valley - Tam Coc Museum - Cooking at 100-year-old Traditional House
Depart Hanoi in the early morning and arrive in Tam Coc around 10:00 AM. Upon arrival, check in at your homestay, enjoy a welcome drink, and take 15–30 minutes to rest after the journey.
Late morning, you’ll be transferred by taxi to Buffalo Cave, a peaceful countryside location surrounded by limestone hills and farmland. Here, enjoy a relaxed experience including walking through the area, fishing, exploring nature, and soaking in the rural atmosphere. A traditional countryside lunch will be served on-site, with plenty of time to rest and enjoy the surroundings (approximately 2 hours).
At 1:00 PM, continue to Dundj Valley, a quiet countryside area known for its open landscapes and slower pace of life. Explore the valley by boat and on foot, walk through green fields, visit a 40-year-old farm, and enjoy gentle hiking. Hidden caves such as Dundj Cave and Whisper Cave offer calm moments of discovery, surrounded by nature and silence.
Around 4:00 PM, visit Tam Coc Museum. Explore a 100-year-old traditional house, learn about Vietnamese rural heritage, and take part in a hands-on cooking experience. The day ends with a home-style dinner, shared in a warm and cultural setting.
After dinner, return to your homestay in Tam Coc for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 2: Hoa Lu – Bai Dinh – Trang An – Mua Cave – Return to Hanoi
After breakfast at the homestay, begin your second day exploring Ninh Binh’s most iconic historical and natural landmarks.
Start with Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Vietnam’s first capital, where you’ll learn about the country’s early dynasties and history. Continue to Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest Buddhist complex in Vietnam, known for its impressive scale and peaceful atmosphere.
Next, enjoy a boat journey through Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its river system, caves, and dramatic limestone scenery.
In the afternoon, visit Mua Cave, where you can climb to the viewpoint for panoramic views over Tam Coc and the surrounding countryside.
At around 5:00 PM, depart Ninh Binh and return to Hanoi. Arrival is expected between 7:30–8:00 PM, depending on traffic conditions.
