Discover the dreamy, romantic Neckar Valley, the impressive Dilsberg Fortress, and the charming, historic small towns in a very small group of 6 people or fewer. Enjoy a guided hiking tour to the highest mountain in the Odenwald, descend from Hirschhorn Castle into the picturesque Old Town, and immerse yourself in fascinating legends. You'll also be amazed by the unique Eberstadt Stalactite Cave.
Your day starts in a comfortable, air-conditioned van from one of the pick-up points in Heidelberg, Weinheim, or Mörlenbach. We will explore the old town of Neckargemünd, which is beautifully situated in the Neckar Valley, through ancient alleys and past historic half-timbered houses.
Visit the remains of the Dilsberg castle fortress with us, with its myths and legends, and learn about the tragic love storey that once took place here.
Further along the Neckar, you will visit another jewel of the Neckar Valley: Eberbach. Here, you can try the famous Viktoria von Eberbach cake, which even delighted Queen Elizabeth.
After that, you will visit one of the most beautiful existing stalactite caves in shell limestone. With its unique stalagmites – for example, in the shape of a wedding cake – you will learn on a guided tour how the past shaped this cave and immerse yourself in its incredible magic.
Now it's time to lace up your hiking boots – we'll climb the eroded vent of an extinct volcano on the highest mountain in the Odenwald and explore its fascinating surroundings and exciting history.
After a short break in the van, we will get active again and visit the southernmost castle in Hesse, which towers high above the Neckar, and enjoy the fantastic view. From here, our path with panoramic views leads down to one of the oldest and most tranquil towns in the Neckar Valley.
At the end of this eventful and adventurous day, you will have plenty of great photos and memories.
