Your exhilarating adventure departs from Dana Point, the Dolphin and Whale Watching Capital of the World®, to view year-round dolphins, whales, sea lions, and more. May through Nov. you could see the largest animals to have ever lived on earth, magnificent Blue Whales. November - April you could witness the incredible Grey Whales migrating. And throughout the year you’ll have the opportunity to see Humpback Whales, Fin Whales, Minke Whales, sometimes Orcas (Killer Whales), and much more. Several species of wild dolphins are also seen year-round. Imagine yourself surrounded by stampeding dolphins, stretching out for miles in every direction!

Turbo-charged for fun, our rigid inflatable (zodiac) boat offers you a smile-plastered-to-your-face, exhilarating thrill ride with upscale features including heavily padded seats with seat backs, custom teak floor, and large custom sunshade. And with its low centre of gravity, this catamaran is a great option for guests concerned about seasickness. During your safari, as you watch dolphins jump and whales fluke, sea lions lounge, and birds prey on fish, marine naturalists will provide interesting narration for a trip that’s both exciting and educational. This safe and intimate cruise gives you an intimate 2-hour look at Dana Point's year-round whales, dolphins, and gorgeous coastline. This uncrowded adventure will have up to 20 guests.

Reaching speeds of 30 knots or faster, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! You'll be incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife.

Our zodiac whale watching boats are very comfortable with heavily padded seats and seat backs. And a large sunshade provides protection from the sunny skies.

The vessel’s very low centre of gravity offers passengers a higher level of stability. For anyone concerned about seasickness, this means you might feel more comfortable.

Get up-close and personal with YEAR ROUND majestic whales and breathtaking dolphins aboard smaller, intimate boats. Experience these amazing animals as they were meant to be seen – in their natural habitat, wild and free! For over 20 years Capt. Dave's eco-friendly whale watching safaris have created memorable and educational excursions for the entire family.

November through May grey whales are seen making their annual migration. In between May and October magnificent blue whales, the largest known animal to have ever lived on earth, are encountered. Anytime throughout the year fin whales, minke whales, and humpback whales delight passengers. Rare whales that could be seen at any time include orcas (killer whales), Bryde’s whales, sei whales, sperm whales, pilot whales, and false killer whales.

“Come for the whales, stay for the dolphins.” Several species of wild dolphins are seen throughout the year, including mega-pods that can number up to 10,000 dolphins! Dana Point is home to the unforgettable dolphin stampede - hundreds, sometimes thousands of dolphins porpoising out of the water together at high speed.

Assorted species of fish can be seen, including sharks such as great whites, hammerheads, makos, rare basking sharks, are more. Sea lions and seals, pelagic birds, and much more await you just a few miles off the coast!
