I will meet you at your accommodation in cha das caldeiras where we start with a small briefing, I will introduce you my land and all the surrounding areas of the volcano and give you the instructions for this hike. Afterwards we will start our hike starting from 1700 m above the sea level.
the first hour goes easily trough lava field from the last eruption till 2000 m, after that you will face a serpentine path that goes trough rocks and ashes till 2300, here you will enjoy a wonderful view of the entire crater and the surrounding islands. When you reach the crater of the volcano you will see that it really worth to take this journey.
The most funny part is the way down that goes trough ashes till the surrounding villages.
At the end I will bring you back at your accommodation.
