"One-day Hiking Adventure to Mt. Mitake (for beginners; 4 hours walking) in the outskirt of Tokyo with English-speaking guide" The journey begins at 7:30 a.m. from Shinjuku Station, using various public transport (train, bus, and cable car) to avoid traffic jam. You’ll return to Shinjuku before 6:00 p.m. (on a safe side). After meeting at Shinjuku, a major hub in central Tokyo, we’ll take a commuter train to JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, followed by a bus to the trailhead. From there, we’ll hike for approx. 3 hours through lush greenery and the scenic Rock Garden, reaching Mitake Shrine at the summit of Mt. Mitake. After visiting the shrine, we’ll stop at a local restaurant near the summit. If you'd like to enjoy an authentic lunch at a shrine lodging, please let us know in advance—we'll do our best to reserve it. If you have any dietary restrictions due to religion or allergies, please inform us beforehand. We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Following lunch, we’ll take a short walk to the cable car station, then descend by cable car and bus to JR Mitake Station. The return trip to Shinjuku takes approx. 90 minutes.
