Embark on an exhilarating adventure as you ascend the sleeping giant, Mount Teide, under the veil of night. As you climb higher, the twinkling stars above become your companions, guiding you towards the summit. Reaching the Summit (3718m) - the highest point of Spain, is a real challenge - starting at about 4am by night (depends on sunrise time), this 6-6.5hs hike will test your limits. Distance - 10km long, elevation gain - 1380m. after 3000m above see level - conditions of high mountaints!
As dawn approaches, the first rays of sunlight paint the horizon with hues of gold! We reach a scenic spot on the slope of the volcano just in time to welcome the sunrise. Here, surrounded by the surreal landscapes of Teide National Park, we pause for a well-deserved sunrise picnic. Watching the first golden light illuminate the volcanic terrain while enjoying a warm drink and snacks is a moment you will never forget.
After sunrise, we continue our ascent in daylight. The dramatic, almost otherworldly scenery of lava fields, rock formations, and vast open views unfolds around us as we climb higher and higher.
Between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, we reach the summit (3,718 m) — the highest point in Spain and the whole Atlantic Ocean!!! It's difficult to say what is more impressive - the sunrise above Teide National Park or a jaw-dropping 360-degree panoramic view from the Summit — an ocean of clouds, vast volcanic terrain, and four other Canary Islands visible on the horizon in perfect clarity. You have to define it by yourself!
