What you can expect

  • Discover the cultural and natural treasures of northern Oman on this unforgettable full-day tour from Muscat to Nakhl and Wakan. Begin your journey with a visit to the lively Barka Fish Market, where you’ll experience authentic Omani daily life, before continuing to Nakhl Fort, a spectacular 350-year-old fortress dramatically perched atop a rocky cliff and surrounded by lush date palm plantations.

Travel through the charming town of Nakhl along a scenic winding road to reach the hot springs of Ayn Al Thuwarah, a popular local picnic spot where warm mineral water flows amid palm groves and mountains. This peaceful oasis offers a perfect break to relax and enjoy Oman’s natural beauty before continuing deeper into the countryside.

The adventure continues with a drive to the remote village of Wakan, nestled high in Wadi Mistal and reached via a mild off-road experience. From the village entrance, explore stunning terraced farms, traditional houses, and mountain views while discovering the simplicity and charm of authentic Omani village life. After an enriching day of history, landscapes, and culture, return comfortably to Muscat with lasting memories of Oman’s hidden gems.
