Saddle up for an unforgettable ride into the heart of the Andes. This is not just a horseback tour — it's a journey into the real, working life of a mountain ranch in Tupungato, Uco Valley, where every detail has been designed to make you feel like part of the family.
Before you set off, you'll have the chance to dress the part with our traditional gaucho clothing — ponchos and hats — for photos you'll treasure long after the trip. Then, guided by our local gauchos, you'll ride for about 1 hour and 30 minutes through breathtaking mountain trails until you reach a private viewpoint at 2,500 metres above sea level. There, with the entire Andes mountain range spread out before you, we'll set up a picnic of regional cheeses and cured meats, paired with glasses of Malbec wine — a toast to one of the most spectacular views in Mendoza. Afterwards, we'll saddle up again for the ride back to the ranch, about 1 hour, so the horseback riding itself takes roughly 3 hours in total.
Back at the ranch, the gauchos will be waiting for you with homemade empanadas and a traditional Argentine asado, paired with a curated selection of wines (with the option to explore even more bottles from our underground wine cellar). And here's what makes this experience truly special: throughout your visit, you'll also be welcomed by the family who owns and built this ranch, who will personally share with you the storey behind Casa Los Coirones — how it came to life, and the mountain traditions that keep it running to this day.
This is horseback riding, Argentine asado, mountain views and genuine hospitality all in one — an experience that stays with you long after you've left the Andes behind.
We offer hotel pickup and drop-off (approx. 2 hours 30 minutes total transfer time). The full experience, including the ride, viewpoint picnic and asado at the ranch, lasts about 5 hours, not including transfer.
