ITINERARY:
We'll set off from the city of Huaraz through the southern part of the Callejón de Huailas, passing through the villages of Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac. We'll visit Querococha Lagoon, where we can see the geological fault on the map of Peru. Then we'll pass through the Cahuish Tunnel, which is located 4,550 metres above sea level, and descend through the Conchucos Valley until we reach the town of Chavín.
The visit to the archaeological complex of Chavín de Huántar lasts approximately 10 hours, followed by a visit to the National Museum of Chavín, which displays the most important artefacts found in the temple.
