What you can expect

  • Itinerary
At the indicated time, we will meet at The Host, Jangadero 136, and at 8:30 PM, we will depart from this location in Puerto Iguazú to head to the Iryapú Nature Reserve, located in the surroundings of the Paraná jungle.

Once we reach this natural area, which covers about 1,500 acres, we'll embark on an unforgettable nighttime trekking hike. On this tour, we'll learn about the customs and traditions of the native Mbya-Guaraní aborigines, who have inhabited this territory since time immemorial.

Along this low-difficulty hike, where we'll cover a total of 4 kilometres, we'll see huge trees such as rosewood, guatambu, and cedars. We'll also see strangler figs and a wide variety of palm trees, guembe ferns, orchids, and fruit trees.

During the walk, we'll also see various kinds of animals such as coatis, weasels, cai monkeys, honey badgers, colicortos, and snakes. If we look closely, we may also see frogs, arachnids, and a wide variety of insects. To preserve their habitat, we'll collect waste from the area in a special bag.

Finally, we will walk back to the starting point of the hike and from there we will return to the meeting point in Puerto Iguazú, where arrival is scheduled two hours after pick-up.
