Know before you book

    • For your safety, the boat (schooner) ride in Angra dos Reis, as well as all nautical routes, are subject to change according to maritime conditions and intervention by the Brazilian Navy.
    • Return transport from Rio de Janeiro’s South Zone (Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema & Leblon) by air-conditioned vehicle.
    • Please be ready and waiting 10 minutes prior your scheduled pickup time.
    • This experience requires a minimum number of people. If cancelled due to lack of travellers, we will offer a different date / experience for the realisation or a full refund up to 24 hours in advance.
    • On the Ilha Grande with Boat Tour and Lunch, the included lunch consists of a simple meal prepared by the local community.
    • A bilingual guide accompany the group during ground transport. There will be no bilingual guide on the boat

What you can expect

  • Begin your full-day tour with a 130 km (80 miles) ride from Rio de Janeiro to Conceição de Jacareí, located in the Costa Verde (Green Coast) region. After your arrival at the port, board the boat (schooner), sit back and enjoy the views of paradise.

    Make your first stop on Praia da Baleia, its calm blue waters are a perfect invitation for a swim. Then, head to Ilha Grande and discover the Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon), check out the collection of starfish at the bottom of the ocean, as well as colourful fish and corals in this natural pool perfect for snorkelling and swim with floating “noodles”. Visit the Freguesia de Santana, a small beach that houses the first church of Angra dos Reis, built in 1843.

    Visit Praia do Japariz,have lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea.

    Disembark at the pier and return comfortably to Rio de Janeiro.
