Your private cruise begins at Tjuvholmen Marina, next to Aker Brygge. As we leave the city behind, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Oslo’s waterfront before passing the iconic Dyna Lighthouse and the beautiful Bygdøy peninsula. Cruising along the Nesodden coastline, you’ll discover charming waterfront cabins, peaceful bays and the slower pace of life that makes the Oslofjord so special.
Soon the city feels far away as we arrive at the hidden Steilene Islands—a small archipelago that has welcomed sailors for centuries. Mentioned in Norway’s medieval sagas and later home to a historic lighthouse guiding ships safely into Oslo, Steilene offers a fascinating blend of maritime history, untouched nature and island tranquillity. Today, it’s one of the locals’ favourite places to swim, relax and enjoy the fjord away from the crowds.
We’ll go ashore and give you plenty of time to enjoy the islands at your own pace. Swim in the clear waters, explore the walking trails, relax on the smooth granite rocks or simply enjoy the silence.
If you’d like, you can enjoy a relaxed Norwegian-style barbecue using the island’s public BBQ facilities. Bring your own food and drinks—we’ll keep everything chilled in the refrigerator on board. Whether it’s fresh seafood, local sausages or a simple picnic, few lunches can match this setting.
As we cruise back towards Oslo, we take a different route through the inner fjord. Passing the idyllic island of Nakholmen - and past Heggholmen Lighthouse - with its colourful summer cabins, you’ll discover a hidden side of Oslo that few visitors ever experience.
The grand finale is our approach into Oslo Harbour, one of Scandinavia’s most beautiful waterfront cityscapes. From the sea you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Oslo Opera House, the MUNCH Museum, Akershus Fortress, Oslo City Hall and the striking Barcode district. Seeing the city from the fjord offers a completely different perspective—and the perfect ending to your adventure.
Unlike larger sightseeing boats, this is a private experience designed around your group. There are no crowds or fixed scripts—just your local captain, the open fjord and an authentic day exploring both Oslo’s famous landmarks and its hidden natural treasures.
