Overview

Come and see South Korea's first and largest national park, Jiri-san. This day experience is located in Gurye-gun on the west-side of Jiri-san. A beautiful rural area only 2-hours by bullet-train from Seoul. A privately led day-tour with vehicle that can be arranged to suit any travellers needs. For the determined, we can climb up to both Nogo-dan 1505m and Banya-bong 1732m for grand views of all of Jiri-san all in a day. We can also see some beautiful temples in the area like, Hwaeom-sa, Saseong-am and Cheoneun-sa. The Gurye area is also famous for its mountain vegetable dishes, so you should try some local cuisines as well. There's a lot to achieve in one day. Come visit western Jiri-san. You'll enjoy it.

Activity itinerary

After your pre-determined pick up, we will drive (45mins) up to Seongsam-jae (A 1000m road-pass). From there we walk for an hour on a relatively easy pathway up to Nogo-dan 1505m. For the keener, we can continue on the knobby Jiri-san ridge to Banya-bong at 1753m. With a return to the vehicle, this would be then a full day hike. On this hike we can see long views of the rest of Jiri-san National Park. After returning to the vehicle where we can the go visit some famous and stunning Korean Buddhist temples. A big meal can be arranged at the end of the day with delicious local mountain vegetables and meats. If you'd like to stay a night in the area, I can help arrange accommodation for you. Thank you.
