What to Expect:

Our experience is divided into four enriching parts, each offering a deeper connection to African culinary heritage and hospitality.

Part 1: Market Tour & Ingredient Discovery
Your journey begins with a guided visit to a local open-air market or supermarket (depending on the day). Walk alongside our friendly chef as they introduce you to the ingredients that will shape your meal, from aromatic spices to native produce. Learn the cultural significance of these ingredients and how they connect to African history, lifestyle, and tradition.

Part 2: Welcome to Our Home
After shopping, we head to a welcoming local home where the cooking will take place. On arrival, you'll be greeted with a glass of locally produced wine or juice. Our chef will give you a short tour of the home, share a few house rules, and assign fun, hands-on tasks to get everyone involved.

Part 3: Cooking Together
This is where the magic happens. Roll up your sleeves and join the chef in preparing authentic Pan-African dishes; including a starter and main course. You’ll learn step-by-step how these meals come together and discover techniques and flavours from across the continent. Expect laughter, learning, and lots of delicious aromas.

Part 4: Dining & Storytelling
We gather around the table to enjoy the fruits of our labour, accompanied by local wines and beers. As we dine, the chef will share his personal storey and culinary journey. Guests are welcome (but not required) to share their own stories, creating a beautiful space for connection. In African culture, storytelling is a vital way of passing on heritage and this part of the evening honours that deeply rooted tradition.
