What you can expect

  • Meet your guide and set off on a walking tour of Kamakura’s temples and shrines. Learn about the differences between temples and shrines, the proper etiquette for receiving goshuin, and the background of Kamakura as a former samurai capital.

Visit selected locations where you can collect goshuin while also learning the stories behind each place. Rather than simply moving from site to site, the tour helps you understand the cultural and historical meaning connected to each goshuin.

The guide will also help make the experience smoother by supporting you with the order of visits, local manners, and communication when requesting goshuin.

By the end of the tour, collect goshuin from carefully selected sacred sites in Kamakura and gain a deeper appreciation of the meaning behind them.
