What you can expect

  • Start your day in Kamakura with a visit to Hasedera Temple, famous for its tall statue of Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy. The temple's gardens and sea view make it one of the most beautiful spots in the city.

Next, see the Great Buddha at Kotoku-In, a huge bronze statue that has stood for centuries. This peaceful figure is one of Japan's most iconic sights and a must-see for visitors.

Continue to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the most important shrine in Kamakura. Walk along its grand approach, learn about Shinto traditions, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of this historic place.

Afterwards, step into the calm Bamboo Forest at Hokokuji Temple. Surrounded by tall bamboo trees, this quiet garden feels like another world. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

In the afternoon, travel to Yokohama, Japan's vibrant port city. Begin with a walk through Chinatown, the largest in Japan. Here you'll find colourful gates, busy streets, and delicious food stalls offering authentic Chinese dishes.

Then, explore the beauty of Sankeien Garden, a traditional Japanese garden with ponds, bridges, and historic tea houses. Seasonal flowers and peaceful paths make it a wonderful place to enjoy nature and culture together.
