This full-day cycling tour takes you into the rural communities that most visitors to Kampot never see.
We cover 20km on entirely flat country roads with almost no traffic, cycling slowly and stopping often. We make regular stops in villages for walking tours of village pagodas, a working palm sugar farm, rice fields, and a Cham Muslim fishing community.
Along the way you'll learn about Cambodian history, local legends, how Buddhism shapes daily life, and what modern Cambodia actually looks like away from the tourist attractions.
The highlight of the day is lunch at Vin's home, a traditional wooden house built over 120 years ago, where a home-cooked Khmer meal is waiting for you along with her family's moving storey of resilience.
This is not a staged experience. The villages, families, and temples we visit are part of real working communities, and the conversations you'll have are the kind that stay with you long after the trip.
What's included
Good quality mountain bicycle and helmet, all drinks throughout the day (water, iced coffee, tea, coconuts, and more), and a home-cooked traditional Khmer lunch at Vin's house.
