The tour begins from “CitySpot by Xplora”, for a briefing, useful information, and a nice cup of coffee. We get on board our ecological Tuk Tuk to visit one of the historical attractions in Kavala which is the Apostle Paul’s Monument. This monument commemorates the place where Apostle Paul first set foot in Europe, and it's a significant historical site for Christians and history enthusiasts alike. We dive next into Old City to admire Imaret, and the stunning view of the Aegean from Mohammed Ali’s Square. And speaking of the Aegean, the City’s Shipyard is a place where you can witness the city's maritime history and see how ships were built and repaired in the past. It's a fascinating glimpse into the city's industrial past. We then pass by the Tsimino Aaron Warehouse. This old tobacco warehouse is a testament to Kavala's role in the tobacco industry, and it's a striking example of the city's industrial architecture. Another historical gem in Kavala is the Kamares - Aqueduct. This impressive structure dates back to the 16th century and is a reminder of the city's rich Ottoman history. And wait to see the whole city from a new perspective from the most Instagrammable hidden spot in the city. Switch now your mood for some shopping, on Kavala's shopping district, as we pass through it. With a mix of modern stores and charming boutiques, it's a great place to find some unique souvenirs or treat yourself to something special. Ready to dive next into Kavala's industrial history, as the Municipal Tobacco Warehouse stands there. This imposing building is a reminder of the city's past as a major centre for tobacco production and trade. And a short stop by the Town Hall – Wix Mansion and the Great Hall. These elegant buildings are beautiful examples of neoclassical architecture and significant parts of Kavala's historical landmarks. And no authentic tour to Kavala would be complete without seeing the amazing view from the Port and learning about its history.
