Our next major stop is at the ancient site of Philippi the most important city of Macedonia, and the prison site of the Apostle Paul.
Nearby on the banks of the Zygaktis, we will visit the baptistery of Lydia the first woman to be baptized a Christian in Europe.
Last stop is at the Roman Hellenistic settlement “Orthopetra” where there is a monument along the ancient Via Egnatia. Evidence of the oldest winemaking in the world was found there.
