The experience begins in Stepantsminda, where you will meet your local guide and horses. After a short introduction, the ride starts along mountain trails leading towards the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, located high above the town.

As you ascend through the landscapes of the Caucasus Mountains, you will enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Mount Kazbek, the surrounding peaks, and the valley below.
The ride continues towards the church, one of the most recognisable sights in Georgia. Here you will have time to enjoy the views and take photos of the dramatic mountain scenery.
This horseback tour is suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders. The horses are calm and well suited for the mountain trails.

The entire experience takes about 2.5 hours, making it a memorable way to explore the landscapes of Kazbegi and reach Gergeti Trinity Church on horseback.

⚠️ Crucial Traffic & Punctuality Notice

The road from Tbilisi to Kazbegi (Georgian Military Road) is notorious for unpredictable traffic, sudden police checkpoints, and long delays caused by cargo trucks (caravans). A drive that usually takes 3 hours can easily take 5+ hours without warning.

Plan Ahead: We strongly advise leaving Tbilisi much earlier than planned to avoid missing your slot.

Strict Policy: Our guides and horses are booked back-to-back. We operate on a strict punctuality policy. Tours cannot be rescheduled, delayed, or refunded on the day of the activity due to traffic or transport issues.

Changes: Any requests for rescheduling must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the tour start time. Same-day late arrivals will result in a cancelled tour with 100% cancellation fees.
