Meeting/Redemption Point

    • 6FJG+9R3 Argostoli, Greece | Directions to the start location once you arrive in Farsa village, from the direction of Argostoli, are as follows: You will pass the village church and Cafe Marina on your left hand side. Shortly after Cafe Marina, look out for green bus shelters on the left. At the second bus shelter there is a sharp right turn, uphill. Take this turn and drive right to the top of the hill. The top section is best taken in 1st gear. At the top of the hill is a T junction. Turn right and then park on the left hand side of the road before you reach the brown bench. Your guide will meet you at the bench.

What you can expect

  • Begin your walk as the heat of the day fades, and end with serene sunsets and sea views. From the meeting point in the new village, take a leisurely walk towards Old Farsa with views up the hill to some of the buildings you will visit on your tour.

    Follow the original path and steps that connect the new and old villages and appreciate the sense of security that villagers felt from being up high. Once in Old Farsa, take a roughly circular route around a number of pathways to take in some of the most important and impressive buildings along with the stunning views.

    During your walk, learn about the villagers, their lifestyles and livelihoods, as well as the architectural styles of the buildings, some of which date back to Venetian times.

    At the end of the walk, head back to Footsteps HQ for a refreshing sunset drink on the roof terrace to complete the experience.
