   Leave the city limits behind and pause alongside local cotton fields. Your driver will share insights into the region’s agricultural landscape, explaining how cotton farming has shaped the economy and daily life of the Khorezm oasis across generations.

3. Melon & Watermelon Degustation in Shabbaz.

4. Kyzyl Kala (The Red Fortress).
   Arrive at your first archaeological site, Kyzyl-Kala. Built as an ancient defensive garrison between the 1st and 4th centuries CE, its massive mud-brick walls glow with a distinct reddish hue. It dates to the 1st–4th century CE and served as a fortified residence or defensive structure connected to nearby Toprak Kala.

5. Toprak Kala (The Earthen Capital).
   Drive a short distance to the sprawling complex of Topraq-Kala. Unlike Ayaz Kala (which was mainly defensive), Toprak Kala served as a royal residence and administrative centre of the Khorezmian rulers.

6. Akchakul Lake Oasis, Lunch & Leisure.
   Break up your historic trek at the stunning Akchakul Lake, a striking blue body of water contrasting sharply with golden desert dunes. Enjoy a peaceful, authentic local lunch by the water. Afterwards, take advantage of free time to go for a refreshing swim.

7. Ayaz Kala Fortress Complex & Optional Bactrian Camel Ride.
   Conclude your historical exploration at the awe-inspiring Ayaz kala, the most spectacular citadel complex in the region. Three fortress complexes on a desert ridge, offering dramatic elevated views over the surrounding flat landscape. Hike up to the grand 4th-century BCE plateau fortress for panoramic views over the Kyzylkum sands.

Right next to the ruins, visit the traditional desert Yurt Camp. Here, you can opt for an unforgettable Bactrian camel ride (available for an extra cost). These unique, majestic two-humped camels are native to Central Asia and offer an authentic Silk Road experience against the backdrop of the ancient fortress walls.
