Begin your day with a morning pick-up at 8:00 AM from your Kota Kinabalu City hotel. Travel to Kiulu for an exciting rafting adventure surrounded by lush greenery.
After rafting, enjoy a visit to Cocoa Kingdom and taste some local chocolate. Continue to the Klias River for a relaxing river cruise, and go in search of Proboscis monkeys, and other wildlife. End the day with a magical firefly experience.
Itinerary:
8:00 AM – Start your day with a hotel pick-up in Kota Kinabalu City Centre and head northwest to Kiulu River. Sit back and enjoy the 1.5-hour drive through Sabah’s scenic countryside.
9:30 AM – Arrive at Kiulu River. Meet your professional river guide for a safety briefing and hands-on instructions on rafting techniques.
10:00 AM – Paddle your way through 9–15 KM of gentle rapids. Immerse yourself in nature as you glide past lush landscapes and sparkling waters on this 1.5–2 hour rafting adventure.
12:00 PM – Reach the end of your rafting journey, freshen up, and lunch.
1:00 PM – Next, continue the drive to visit Cocoa Kingdom, and taste some local chocolate delights. (shopping own expenses).
3:30 PM – Estimated arrive at the Klias River jetty. Enjoy light refreshments and prepare for a wildlife adventure.
4:30 PM – Board the boat for your first cruise along the river. Spot Proboscis monkeys, eagles, and other wildlife as the sun sets over the tranquil mangroves.
6:00 PM – Riverside dinner at the jetty, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
7:00 PM – Set off on a magical second cruise to see fireflies twinkling among the mangrove trees – a truly enchanting experience.
8:00 PM – Depart Klias River for Kota Kinabalu city.
