What you can expect

Experience a unique and rare sight: swimming with bioluminescent plankton in the waters of Krabi. This experience takes you on a night swim to observe bioluminescent plankton, tiny organisms that float lazily in the seawater.

These organisms can photosynthesize and are visible to the naked eye, and are major producers of oxygen. Swimming with these plankton at night will feel like swimming in a magical sea illuminated by their light.

Plankton consists of both animals and plants, drifting in the water column with the tidal currents. They are divided into: Phytoplankton (oxygen producers), which create their own food through photosynthesis, such as diatoms, the world's largest oxygen producers; and Zooplankton (food source for aquatic animals), which feed on phytoplankton or other animals, such as krill and jellyfish larvae.
