First we will visit beautifull Krka waterfalls, nature gem of Croatia. After enjoying stunning views od the river se are coming back to Šibenik, only town in Croatia with two UNESCO sites. We will start with easy ride along the beautiful streets of Šibenik. Listen as your driver tells you about the history of the city. Make your first stop at Fortress Barone, built in 1646 on Vidakuša, a hill above the city. Renovated in 2016, the fortress now offers visitors a digital tour through Šibenik's history.
Next, head to St. John's Fortress, the biggest fortress in Šibenik. Located on the north hill above the Old Town, it was named after a church dedicated to St. John the Baptist from the 15th century. The fortress, together with Barone Fortress, was constructed during the Ottoman attacks on Šibenik in 1646 and 1647.
Continue to a panoramic viewpoint at Šibenik Bridge and Banj Beach, where some scenes of the HBO series “Game of Thrones” were filmed. On Šibenik Bridge, try local mussels and oysters with a glass of local wine.
Make your final stop at the Cathedral of St. James (Jakov), a unique monument of Renaissance architecture protected by UNESCO. Constructed over a period of more than a hundred years, the cathedral is perfect for a short walk through the pedestrian zone, allowing you to explore a part of Šibenik's rich history as well as experience the local lifestyle today.
