Kruja is a beautiful destination centred around its iconic castle — the heart of Albanian history. It was here that the Albanian National Hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, led the resistance and defended the land for years against the Ottoman Empire.
Your walking tour will take you along charming cobblestone pathways, through the historic Ottoman bazaar, past traditional wooden handicraft shops, and along the ancient castle walls.
Within the castle grounds, you’ll visit the Skanderbeg Museum, which offers a deep insight into the hero’s legacy as well as the traditional lifestyle of northern Albania.
You’ll also have free time in the old bazaar to browse and shop for local handcrafted products.
