【What You'll Do】
Welcome: Introduce ourselves and get ready for cooking.
We will warmly welcome you to our home, share a brief greeting, and introduce ourselves. After a short chat, we will put on our aprons to get ready for a fun and exciting cooking session together right away.
Making Dough: Try the traditional method of stepping, rolling, and cutting dough into noodles.
You will experience the authentic and traditional way of making Udon dough from scratch. This includes kneading the high-quality Japanese flour and stepping on the dough to create the perfect chewy texture.
Dashi Tasting & Resting: Experience the secret of Japanese Umami while the dough rests.
While we let the stepped dough rest for a little while, we will enjoy a fun Japanese Dashi (soup stock) tasting experience. You will have the chance to taste flavourful authentic broth and learn the secrets behind the unique “Umami” flavour that makes Japanese cuisine so special and delicious. After this relaxing tasting session, we will roll out the dough and carefully cut it into beautiful noodles.
Tasting: Boil your freshly made noodles, prepare toppings, and enjoy eating together!
Next, it is time to boil your hand-cut Udon noodles. While the noodles are boiling, we will quickly prepare the delicious hot beef topping to complement your bowl perfectly. Once everything is ready, assemble your customised bowl with the hot beef topping and the flavourful pre-prepared broth. We will all sit down, say “Itadakimasu,” and enjoy the delicious meal together in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
