What you can expect
Discover the serene side of Mount Aso on this guided coach tour from Fukuoka. Instead of rushing to the crater (currently closed), you’ll immerse yourself in a mystical shrine, a vast volcanic grassland, and one of Japan’s most atmospheric hot spring villages.
✨ Highlights
Walk up the stone steps of Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, known for its moss-covered lanterns and “spirited away” forest feel.
Enjoy 60 minutes at Kusasenri – a breathtaking grassland with panoramic views of the Aso caldera. Free time for photos, horse riding (optional, extra fee), or a light meal.
Spend 90 minutes in Kurokawa Onsen, a traditional riverside onsen town. Stroll the old streets, soak in a public bath (pay locally, ¥500–1500), or try onsen-steamed treats.
Travel comfortably by air-conditioned bus with an English/Japanese-speaking guide.
Hassle-free return from Hakata Station (meeting at Lawson convenience store).
