What you can expect

  • We'll pick you up in Cangas de Onís, with no waiting and no lines. We'll head into Picos de Europa National Park in our private vehicle, enjoying and interpreting the landscape.
    We'll start the route by visiting the Mirador del Príncipe and its magnificent views over the Vega de Comeya and the Municipality of Onís.
    We'll pass through the old iron mines of Buferrera, with limestone towers and mine entrances that transport us to other times.
    We'll arrive at Lake Ercina and go right up to the shore to see the peaks of the Cornión Massif reflected in its waters.
    Then, a gentle climb to the Mirador de Entrelagos to enjoy the views of both lakes, followed by a descent to Lake Enol before returning to our vehicle.
    After leaving the cruise port, we'll stop at Asturias' most visited site: the Shrine of Covadonga.
    You can visit the Basilica and the Holy Cave at your own pace (this part is NOT guided). The Holy Cave is home to the image of Our Lady of Covadonga, known as “La Santina” in Asturias.
    We'll drop you back in Cangas de Onís in time to enjoy the local cuisine and the delicious Asturian cider.
