What you can expect

In front of the venerable St. Thomas Church you can learn more about the life and work of the composer Johann Sebastian Bach and the St. Thomas Choir.

Your tour takes you from the “Zum Arabischen Kaffeebaum” coffee house, one of the oldest coffee houses in Europe, to the magnificent Barthels Hof. Stroll through the lively market square with its Renaissance town hall and mingle with the locals.

In the Mädler Passage, above Auerbach's Cellar, you'll hear the Faust legend before encountering the student Johann Wolfgang Goethe at the Naschmarkt. After a stroll through some of Leipzig's most charming alleyways and courtyards, there will still be time for a visit to St. Nicholas Church, Leipzig's oldest church, from which the cry “We are the people” was proclaimed to the world.
