The tour departs from and returns to Lenno, one of the most charming and photographed villages on Lake Como. As you leave the pier, you will cruise along the shoreline through calm waters, alpine silhouettes, and postcard-perfect views, enjoying a privileged perspective of some of the lake’s most celebrated historic residences.
Villa del Balbianello: the symbol of Lake Como
You will reach Villa del Balbianello, built in 1785 at the request of Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini, on the tip of the Lavedo promontory, on the remains of an ancient Franciscan convent. Over time it became the residence of intellectuals and artists, until it was acquired by explorer Guido Monzino, who restored it and donated it to the FAI in 1988.
The complex includes residential buildings, a church, an elegant lakeside portico, and a panoramic garden with breathtaking views. It is also famous worldwide as an international film location for productions such as Star Wars: Episode II and Casino Royale.
During the tour you will have 1 hour of free time to visit the gardens and enjoy one of the most iconic viewpoints on Lake Como.
After the visit, the cruise continues along one of the most enchanting stretches of the lake, passing two legendary properties: Villa La Cassinella—a luxury retreat offering total privacy, reachable only by boat and surrounded by a vast park—and Villa Balbiano, a historic residence dating back to the late 16th century, with a lakeside Italian garden and period interiors, also chosen as a filming location for House of Gucci.

To ensure a punctual experience for everyone, the tour runs on a strict schedule:
Departures every 30 minutes from 10:00 to 16:30
Stop at Villa del Balbianello: exactly 1 hour
Mandatory return on the scheduled return boat, departing 1 hour after arrival (returning on a different departure is not possible)
