The tour, departing from our beach in Letojanni, “JANKURA BEAH CLUB,” will skirt the beautiful, expansive beaches of Letojanni and Taormina until reaching “SPISONE” and the first bay, “BAIA DELLE SIRENE” or “BAIA DI SAN NICOLA,” characterised by waters filled with seagrass. Here, an ancient bay used by fishermen, known locally as “U PUTTICHIU,” will be pointed out. Next to it, a natural rock will be shown, which over time, due to erosion by the sea waves, has taken the charming shape of an elephant, aptly named “SCOGLIO DELL'ELEFANTE” (ELEPHANT ROCK).
The tour will continue to “BAIA DI MAZZARO,” a highly sought-after location for luxury tourists, as the gulf is home to many prestigious 5-star hotels, including the renovated Hotel Villa S. Andrea in Taormina.
Immediately afterwards, the cruise will continue south towards the “GROTTA AZZURRA” and ISOLA BELLA, located within the beautiful Taormina nature reserve. Its crystal-clear waters and natural pools are home to a wide variety of marine life. Here, you can swim and snorkel. Along the way, you'll visit the “GROTTA DEL CORALLO” (Coral Cave), where you can admire the red coral.
Immediately after stopping at the reserve and visiting the interior of the Blue Cave, the cruise will continue towards “CAPO TAORMINA,” framed by the “FARAGLIONI” and the “SCOGLIO DEL FICO D'INDIA” (PRICKLY PEAR ROCK).
After passing the promontory, specifically the “SCOGLIO CON LA CROCE” (ROCK WITH THE CROSS), a very important symbol for the ancient local fishermen, you'll find yourself faced with the evocative view of “ETNA,” dominating the vast and beautiful “BAIA DI GIARDINI NAXOS,” the first Greek colony in Sicily. Crossing the bay of “VILLAGONIA,” you'll visit the “GROTTA DEL SOLE,” also known as the “GROTTA DELL'AMORE.” The crew will share anecdotes and interesting facts about its name.
After skirting part of the bay and catching sight of the ancient “GIARDINI-TAORMINA RAILWAY STATION,” the boat will stop for a break, where you can swim and snorkel.
Here, our staff will prepare a small aperitif buffet for our guests on board, featuring typical Sicilian products, fresh fruit, prosecco, and various drinks.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point, where the beach staff and crew will assist you with disembarkation.
The experience will last approximately 3 hours.
