Continue the trip heading to possibly the most famous fishing town in Portugal, Nazaré, where we will visit the Forte de Sao Miguel. This site has become world-famous for the giant wave that hits its coast every winter and attracts lots of surfers from all over the world.

The Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima is the response to the request of Our Lady, made during the apparitions of 1917,especially on October 13,when she told the three little shepherds"Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta“I want to tell you that a chapel is to be built here in my honour. I am the Lady of the Rosary” (First Memoir of Sister Lucia). The small chapel was built in 1919 on the site of the apparitions at Cova da Iria. Since then, the site has grown into a major centre of pilgrimage. The Shrine exists to keep alive the memory of the event and the message of Fatima. Its mission is to preserve, study, and spread this message as a means of evangelization, both in Portugal and throughout the world. Pilgrims are welcomed with pastoral care, making hospitality a central part of the Shrine’s mission. By explicit will of the Apostolic See, the Shrine of Fatima holds the title of National Shrine and plays a vital role in the spiritual life of the Church. The rest time is our Journey.
