Whale Shark Adventure
At around 4:00 AM you will be awakened and taken to the harbour to board a traditional wooden Begog boat towards the fishing platforms (bagang). The boat ride usually takes about 1 hour or longer, depending on the whale shark location and sea conditions.
Snorkelling usually starts around 7:00 AM, but the timing may change depending on sea conditions and whale shark activity. After snorkelling, enjoy a simple breakfast on the boat with coffee, tea, bread, and fruit.
Special Wildlife Experience
Whale sharks are wild animals living freely in the ocean. We do not feed the whale sharks and cannot control their presence. Around the fishing platforms, local fishing activity may naturally attract fish and plankton, which can provide food for whale sharks. The whale sharks may arrive and leave at any time.
Their presence depends on food availability, tides, currents, weather, and sea conditions. Sometimes guests enjoy a close encounter, while on other days whale sharks may appear briefly, stay far from the boat, or may not be seen at all.
Based on our experience, the estimated chance of encountering whale sharks is approximately 80–90% but this is not guaranteed.
If whale sharks are not found, the tour will continue as planned and NO REFUND OR COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED.
By booking, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted all tour conditions, including possible longer travel times, schedule changes, itinerary changes, and the possibility of not seeing whale sharks.
